An interactive installation named “Mood Swing” was made for the Design Degree Show – DDS 2016.
The amazing team – Chinmay, Ajinkyaraj, Saloni, Rajkumar, Prakash, Samarth, Chinmay Jr.
The idea of this interactive installation was to have fun with DDS show participants. The concept was randomly playing a piece of music from the pigeon house when a participant sat on the swing.
As they swing, the music continues, and the swing ropes laden with LED strips also light up. The song changes randomly for each participant, trying to spring up their cheerful mood during the show proceedings. The following video shows the working of our installation.
The installation required the following components to make the proof of concept prototype- Arduino Uno, a compatible SD card reader with SD card, Speakers, LED strips, voltage regulator IC, Ultrasonic sensor, and Battery.
